Thor in 1:2 scale

Quote1.png I am Thor Odinson of the Vikings, giant. I am not the god of reason and understanding. I am the god of Thunder and Lightning!!! Quote2.png
--Thor Odinson
As promised a separate post for the God of Thunder.  We had this done using mixed media for the costume. Real fabric was used for the main part of the costume and leather and metal buckles for the other accessories .Magnets are also in the hand holding the hammer and the wings on his helmet because those were made to detach. For the unfamiliar this is the modern version of his costume, we might come up with a classic one but that remains to be seen yet.  Pics up ahead.

The Avengers in Half Scale

EDITED: with better pics this time and SS Ironman in the group.

Tony Stark had to excuse himself for a much overdue holiday vacation with Ms. Potts. Seriously though, I want an Ironman to complete the big four. Sideshow's MK III is the same scale but it's the movie version and it's sold out.  A comic version Ironman would fit really nice in the group and that would make this a collection that's to be cherished for years considering how the movie broke records in the box office. Thor and Cap are both in premium format with Cap holding a real metal shield.  I'm lovin the display and I'm quite proud of it. I can almost see Hulk about to give Thor a cheap shot right there as it was in the movie. =D There I had to say it!

I have individual pictures of each character in the blog, check them out for more shots. Click on the pics for a bigger view!

1:4 scale Dr. Doom PF

Quote1.png ... I am more than amused by the prospect of a battle of wits ... though I fear that with you as an opponent... the struggle might well be brief. Quote2.png

--Victor von Doom

This is one of those pieces I wasn't able to take WIPs of because of the past crazy couple of months. But here it is done with all the familiar looking accessories associated with Dr. Doom.  The cloak is real fabric with the Cosmic Cube removable and I've added a pic of the Great Ultron beside him for size comparison.  The chalice stand adds a touch of variety on the base. Anyway, here's final pics of Dr. Doom in PF.

1:2 Scale Ryu and Evil Ryu

"Absolute destruction is the only perfection possible!"

--Evil Ryu

"I still don't have what it takes. I must train harder."

--Ryu

Quite a huge difference between the two personalities coming from the same character. Ryu is one of the earliest video game characters I can remember growing up as a kid so this is some sort of a homage project to the character.  It's done and we did two versions, a normal one which should be familiar to most and evil version which looks absolutely badass for me.  Both of these guys are in 1:2 scale so they're quite huge. They come with real fabric costumes. Evil Ryu's scars on the chest and back light up. The base features clear resin flames to add artistic taste to that charging Hadouken pose.

Magneto and Sentinel diorama

Quote1.png I know … something of grief. Search throughout my homeland, you will find none who bear my name. Mine was a large family and it was slaughtered – without mercy, without remorse. So speak not to me of grief, boy. You know not the meaning of the word!Quote2.png

 --Magneto

Yeah, he's finally done with a great nifty trick of making him look like he's really flying without those unattractive pegs usually seen on statues to show that a character is supposed to be flying. Sentinel's eyes light up as an added bonus together with alternate switch out heads for Magneto, one with helmet, one without. I'm quite proud of this piece, the Jim Lee art likeness is very evident on Magneto's face.  So here he is, Magneto with Sentinel diorama.
